Dr. Les Cahan
Dr. Leslie D Cahan is an honors graduate of the UCLA School of Medicine and he did a surgery internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital. After doing research in brain tumors and epilepsy at the National Institutes of Health, he completed a Neurological Surgery residency at UCLA. He was on the Neurosurgery faculty at both UCLA and UC Irvine and then was Chief of Neurosurgery at the Los Angeles Medical Center. For the past 5 years he has worked with Dr. Ronald Young in Radiosurgery at the California Gamma Knife and he has presented and published papers on the use of the Gamma Knife in treating tremor and Parkinson's Disease.
Dr. Ronald F. Young
Dr. Ronald F Young was born in Buffalo New York and received his undergraduate degree and degree of Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York. He took a surgical internship at the University of Minnesota and a residency in Neurosurgery at the Long Beach Veteran Administration Hospital and the State University of New York Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. He has served on the faculty of the Upstate Medical Center, the UCLA School of Medicine and the UC Irvine School of Medicine where he was Professor and Chief of the Department of Neurosurgery.
Since 1993 he has devoted most of his energy to exploring and expanding the use of the Gamma Knife to treat a variety of conditions including brain tumors, AVMs, Essential Tremor, Trigeminal Neuralgia and Parkinson's Disease. He is currently Co-Medical Director with Dr. Leslie Cahan of the Los Robles Hospital Neuroscience Gamma Knife Center. He has published over 100 peer reviewed papers and book chapters on a variety of neurosurgical topics.
Jesse Lee
Jesse Lee is a board certified medical physicist with over 27 years of experience in the field of radiation oncology. He has been working as a Gamma Knife physicist with over 12 years of experience. In collaboration with neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists, he was involved in over 1,500 Gamma Knife treatments with cases such as Brain Metastasis, Essential Tremor, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Meningioma, Acoustic Neuroma, Glial Tumor, AVMs, Pituitary Adenoma, etc.
